March 2026
Dear Families,
March marked a beautiful transition into spring, as children explored flowers and natural materials through hands-on, sensory-rich experiences. Using petals, leaves, pinecones, and herbs, children engaged their senses to observe textures, colors, and scents

. Infants explored through touch and visual discovery, while toddlers began to sort, combine, and manipulate materials—developing early scientific thinking and a deeper connection to the natural world.
In our daily circle time, children engaged in early literacy and language development through songs, movement, and repetition. We practiced the alphabet (ABC) using music and egg-shaped shakers, explored basic shapes, and introduced the letter I, which we will continue building on in April, along with the letter O. Children also began learning the days of the week through songs and explored weather concepts through interactive music and conversation.
Fine Motor Development was supported through activities such as transferring, picking, and using tools like droppers, strengthening hand coordination and control. Movement experiences during circle time, including coordinated actions with shakers, clapping, and rhythm patterns, supported body awareness and coordination.
Social-Emotional Development grew through shared experiences, where children observed one another, engaged side by side, and built early social connections in a calm and inviting environment.
Cognitive & Early Math Foundations emerged as children explored concepts like sorting, comparing, shapes, and spatial awareness through open-ended play.
Creative Expression focused on process-based art, where children painted, mixed colors, and explored materials freely, building confidence and creativity.
Looking Ahead
In April, we will begin exploring insects and Easter-inspired experiences, while continuing to build early literacy skills with the letters I and O, songs, movement, and hands-on discovery.
